Background


The University of La Laguna (ULL) is the oldest institution of higher education in the Canary Islands, and its history can be trace back more than 200 years. Its founding decree, signed by King Charles IV of Spain, is dated 11 March 1792. Since that date, it has undergone changes and has been known by different names until it was finally given its current name in 1913. Two hundred years after its foundation, the University of La Laguna continues to be a beacon for Canarian snamety hich, using the Atlantic as a bridge, has reached out to the rest of the world. the rest of the world.
